20 minute GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a textbook written for teachers that want to incorporate geospatial technology into their existing curriculum and improve their students’ critical thinking skills. It as designed for teachers who have minimal technology and GIS skills to be able to teach with confidence, even if computers are limited in their classroom or they have very little time in the computer lab
The authors wanted a logo created that incorporated a clock set to 20 minutes and a geospatial component that could be used on marketing materials as well as used on the cover of their book. They wanted something that would be bold and instantly recognizable, that would speak to every level of education (the first edition is for elementary schools, but they will be following up with middle school and high school versions). This is the logo and cover I create for their 20 Minute program.
