Grant is the son of one of my husband&#8217;s cousins, and when his sister Delaney and his mother Shawna approached me about this awareness campaign my heart overflowed. Grant has been suffering from Mito since birth and there&#8217;s no cure. It&#8217;s a very helpless feeling to know someone you love so much is ill and there&#8217;s nothing you can do about it. Most people don&#8217;t even know about the disease at all.<\/p>\n<p>So one day Delaney had enough and decided it as time to DO something. She started an online awareness campaign that got national attention in a matter of days.
