The Insurance Record has been the leading insurance trade publication in Texas since it’s inception in 1934. They have put out a quality magazine every two weeks for the last seventy-eight years. Family founded and passed down from one generation to the next, the company has always upheld a strong commitment to family values. When the second generation of owners had children of their own, they sold the business so they could spend more time with their kids, while still continuing to work there and produce the publication. Now that the “baby” in the family is 20, they bought back their business and have once again made it Texas based and returned it to full family control.

Under their parent company they did not have a full website, just a page with their contact information partnered onto the publishing house’s url. We created their website, mobile site, integrated qr codes into their print magazine, created swag for conventions and plan to add several more facets to their online experience and marketing package over the coming years.

This company is heritage rich, but prides themselves in becoming cutting edge in an industry that is technology resistant. The response has been extremely positive. Their letter to the editor form works like a charm and has fostered increased communication with their subscribers and the advertisers now have easy access to specs, rates and the editorial calendar.
